Our love for animals drives us to do our very best for every patient.  We practice fear-free care techniques to make visits as pleasant and stress-free as possible for every animal.

Ilana Yablonovich, VMD

Medical Director

Dr. Ilana Yablonovich grew up in Englewood, New Jersey. She received her undergraduate degree from Barnard College, and then spent four years in Philadelphia earning her veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Yablonovich then completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group in Brooklyn. She then spent two years in general practice in New Jersey. She is Fear-Free Certified and USDA Accredited. She lives on the Upper West Side with her husband, son, and dog named Carlos.

Scott Simon, DVM


Dr. Scott Simon founded the Animal Hospital of Chelsea in 1985. He earned his veterinary degree from Colorado State University Veterinary College in 1981, with an emphasis in Internal Medicine and Surgery.  Dr. Simon has special interests in dermatology, cardiology and geriatric medicine.

Dr. Simon is USDA  Accredited, and can provide clients with the necessary forms for international travel with their pet.
