About Us..

The Animal Hospital of Chelsea was opened by Scott Simon, D.V.M, in 1985.  It is a full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care.  Our practice philosophy allows the pet owner to take an active role in their pet's medical care.  We feel that dogs and cats respond  better to treatment when they are at home in a loving and caring enviornment.  We try to minimize your pet's hospital stay to reduce stress and promote healing.

We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories.  Our facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, an in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and a boarding area for cats.   Through our years of experience, we have learned that many times what your pet needs most is attentive care, not intensive care. When advanced diagnostic procedures are necessary, our veterinarian's knowledge base and experience ensure an appropriate referral to a New York based specialist.
